events
I have extensive event and party planning experience from organizing annual galas/dinners for United2Heal where we had over 200 attendees, to being maid of honor and planning many of the details for my sister’s wedding in 2012 and hosting small gatherings such as baby showers and New Year’s Eve parties in my apartment (and yes- small spaces require a lot of creativity in decorating/preparing for a crowd!)
I love to make sure all of the important details are just right for the special occasion.
Valentine’s Day
I obviously love to plan and design, so for Valentine’s Day this year, I volunteered to host a relaxing, intimate dinner for the two of us. I had fun sifting through Pinterest for ideas of what to make for our 3 course meal, what kind of gift to give my Valentine and other design ideas! My boyfriend cleverly surprised me with a hand made 3D printed sign asking me to be official with him- literally, how cute! I decided to make him a Valentine’s sort of basket centered around the theme “Being with you makes perfect SENSE” 🙂 I also got him some soap for the “smell” gift (along with a candle just in case he wasn’t a fan!) from a local shop an old friend owns here in Maryland, SweetViola! Spoiler- he loved everything.
Graduation
When your first best friend from your big move to Maryland back in 2014 finishes graduate school in 2.5 years after working full time and being a great friend, wife and sister, you must throw her a surprise graduation celebration! (Especially considering she is graduating with her Masters of Science from JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY! I ordered her wine tumbler from Crabtree Gifts on Etsy and was so impressed at the quality, friendliness and overall experience I had with the shop owners. It also came in just a few days despite the fact that it was smack in the middle of a million other graduations and Mother’s Day!
